We are a group of friends and acquaintances -- a merry band of pranksters indeed -- who have been arguing about politics on-and-off, then really on, then a little off... since 1998. On email. But that meant literally thousands of emails a year. That was too many. So here's the blog dedicated to carrying on that spirit of political and pop culture argument and dialogue. You might think of us as "schmoliticians", because while we take politics seriously, we try not to take ourselves quite so.

Well, I think I solved my problem with using the links. Now I need to learn to write coherent sentences prior to publishing.
Nah, I think the incomplete sentences and down-home jargon are endearing. Who wants or needs another friend who can write or speak in a gramatically-correct fashion? That's just plain boring. By the way, this job would maybe be the best job ever -- in the history of the universe.
Better than driving the Oscar Meyer weiner mobile? I don't know; I still think that's gotta be the coolest job ever.
It is extremely cool, but you end up smelling like hotdogs and Daisy Duke isn't anywhere to be found.
Yeah, but Daisy Duke has got to be, what, like 50 now? I'm not so sure having her around would be a good thing...
Yeah... you wouldn't want to end up smelling like Daisy Duke without hotdogs anywhere to be found. I vote wiener-mobile.
Good point about the actress who played Daisy Duke being like 50 now. I should amend my comment to say "the idealized, never-aging sitcom version of Daisy Duke"... mmmmm, idealized sitcom women...
As fate would have it, today is actually Catherine Bach’s 51st birthday.
Well, Happy Birthday Daisy Duke!
