Hmmm, NAACP Singing Different Tune?
Here's what the NAACP had to say to the American public about Michael Vick's recent indictment for dog fighting, etc.
Here's a page on the NC NAACP website from August 9, 2006, concerning the Duke lacrosse case.
Hmmm...
On the flip side, a blog post from the San Jose, CA chapter of the NAACP.

Sure, Vick is entitled to due process and is innocent until proven guilty. I don't see anything wrong, though, with Nike, Reebok, et al choosing to terminate/suspend their endorsement deals with him. The whole nature of the athlete endorsement has to do with public image and aligning your company with someone who (seemingly) represents your values. Regardless of whether he is guilty or innocent, he has associated himself with some rather nasty characters and I think these companies have every right to cut him loose. I'm not so sure about the NFL's decision to not allow him to attend traning camp, though. I think they probably have that right, but is it fair to keep him from his livelihood while his guilt/innocence has not yet been established?
