"The One Mix to Rule Them All"
Okay, this is kind of off-topic, but I thought it would be a fun exercise…
Here’s the situation--you just met someone new, and you want to make him, her, or him-her (hey, we’re all inclusive here) the definitive mix CD—one that will lay bare the deepest, darkest secrets of your soul; convey how cool you are (no, really); and/or express your life-long infatuation with the musical styling of the “Velvet Fog” himself, Mel Torme. Name the mix, pick the songs (up to 10), and post as a comment. Go.

There are so many mixes to make, of course, that I had to choose a theme: songs I love. This is a mix for me, call it the "Fold? Stir! Mix?! Mix":
1. Venice Shoreline Chris, "Ex Darling"
2. Wilco & Billy Bragg, "California Stars"
3. The Pietasters, "Girl Take It Easy"
4. Hank Williams III, "7 Months, 39 Days"
5. Fishbone, "Ma & Pa"
6. The Specials, "Message to You Rudy"
7. Fugazi, "Repeater"
8. The Clash, "Train in Vain"
9. The Shins, "New Slang"
10. The Decemberists, "California One/Youth & Beauty Brigade"
Medulla Oblongata, Pons and Midbrain
1:: Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, "Easy Money"
2:: Joseph Arthur, "Chemical"
3:: Suede (you probably know them as 'The London Suede'), "The Living Dead"
4:: Joy Division, "Love Will Tear Us Apart"
5:: Placebo, "The Bitter End"
6:: Division of Laura Lee, "To The Other Side"
7:: The Pixies, "Debaser"
8:: Porno for Pyros, "100 Ways"
9:: The Stone Roses, "One Love"
10:: Kittie, "Brackish"

Haven't had time to make the mix, merely wanted to congratulate Rob on the perfect topic-
I think it would be named "What the hell happened to this guy?"
Would need the Dukes theme, Truckin by the Dead along with something by Johnny Cash, Waylon, DAC, Offspring, Drive by Truckers, 2-pac, Cult and Elvis. (Convoy would be the 11th).
(Just in case, I don't have spell check capacity right now.)
