Is there no end to the evil??
No wonder Sen. Stevens (R-AK), the chairman of the committee, refused to swear-in the big oil executives. He must have known that the testimony his committee was about to hear would be full of lies. It explains why there was literally an argument, with Stevens putting his chair-foot down against swearing-in, at the outset of this hearing.
Now we know they were lies. Have they no shame? Do Republican members of Congress have no shame?

It is not often that I find myself being the voice of reason, but:
I seriously doubt that many professional politicians have any shame. I doubt the Republicans lie much more than the Democrats. They have just had more important lies to tell recently, since they have found themselves, through no fault of their own (OK, now I'm lying--or at least being a sarcastard), in some hot water. Or is it hot coffee?
And that, ladies and gents, is how a comment can start off with a point and deteriorate into me just spewing random shite.
Enough now.

Maybe I should start leaving notes on my posts: "just having fun trying to provoke my conservative friends with extreme commentary." This is the second time in as many weeks that my intentionally over-the-top statements/questions have drawn "Gee, that's not entirely fair" type retorts.
I'll try to provocablog more clearly in the future.
Look, I've created a new (and very crappy) term!
Ironically, 'provocablog' was the collection of letters I had to type in the "word verification" box to post this comment.
Now, pardon me while I go water my ylajwk.
