Center Aisle Caucus

This could be an exciting development in bipartisanship or nothing more than a failed publicity attempt. Does anyone see value in the Center Aisle Caucus? What would it take to make a difference and what would you want that difference look like?

Sure, a return to civility would be wonderful in Congress. But if there needs to be a special "Center Aisle Caucus" to get us there, I'm strongly suspicious there's no chance at all. Methinks term limits would get us there faster than anything else -- you'd have to be willing to compromise if you wanted to get anything done in your compressed 1- or 2-term career!!

I was generally a fan of term limits until I learned more about the workings of the legislature.

Enacting term limits in a legislature would shift experience, continuity, and to some degree, power from officials to lobbyists.

I still think they are a positive thing in the executive branch, however.
