Things are never so bad that your friends can't prosper from them!
Just in case you thought the Bush Administration would miss an opportunity to enrich their friends on the sorrow and tragedy of others, silly you.
We are a group of friends and acquaintances -- a merry band of pranksters indeed -- who have been arguing about politics on-and-off, then really on, then a little off... since 1998. On email. But that meant literally thousands of emails a year. That was too many. So here's the blog dedicated to carrying on that spirit of political and pop culture argument and dialogue. You might think of us as "schmoliticians", because while we take politics seriously, we try not to take ourselves quite so.

Oh man! I'm just amazed at the size of their, hmm... what's the word, well, you know what I mean. Maybe they think we don't read the paper or don't care.
Actually, when you think about it, we don't seem to care. They have given Halliburton billions of our tax dollars for Iraq, which Halliburton has used questionably, and the press talks about it, but no one does anything about it. That's the beauty of controlling two (working on three) branches of government. No oversight.
They have checked any attempt at governmental balance.
Cynical liberal comment of the week: Nope, their target demographic doesn't read newspapers: why read those untrustworthy, liberally biased rags? They get their news straight from Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh (they make it up, you decide).
Or not at all.
Thanks, Carolyn and Pete. I now feel even more like jumping out of my window because my government makes we waver between wanting to bitchslap the taste out of the mouths of all those corrupt, jingoistic motherf*ckers -- and being embarrassed to call myself an American.
Hail to the Redskins! They're my last bastion of (poorly placed) loyalty.
