FEMA Director Resigns
Scapegoat, errr story, is here. Another scarificial lamb?
We are a group of friends and acquaintances -- a merry band of pranksters indeed -- who have been arguing about politics on-and-off, then really on, then a little off... since 1998. On email. But that meant literally thousands of emails a year. That was too many. So here's the blog dedicated to carrying on that spirit of political and pop culture argument and dialogue. You might think of us as "schmoliticians", because while we take politics seriously, we try not to take ourselves quite so.

Finally, they've done something in this whole snafu right! The guy had no qualifications, no experience, and obviously had no idea what he was doing. What is harder for me to believe is that this administration is actually admitting that one of their own made a mistake. The question now is: Is it enough to appease the critics?
Well,I suspect that the descriptions of Brown that come from the Bushies from here on out won't paint him too much as "one of their own." I'm waiting for the "leak" that Brown used to smoke pot, hang out with Democrats, and believe in social justice. Stinks of when they made that Deputy Assistant Associate Junior National Security Advisor fall on his sword after Condie and the Prez failed to take notice of the CIA memo to the White House that was entitled "Al-Qaeda About to Attack NYC with Planes". They searched for scapegoats, found him, and when it didn't really fly, they had Pres. Bush come out and say "I take full responsibility" as if he was Harry Truman saying the buck stops here. All this after fervently trying to pass the buck, or deny its existence, until they could find no takers.
Secondly, didn't anyone catch Brownie's most recent rationale for why he shouldn't be blamed? He went on TV and said "Well, FEMA isn't a first responder." Hmmmm, maybe we should change its name to FPEMA (Federal Post-Emergency Management Agency)?
