Not politics - but are you freakin' kidding me?
This is just disgusting.
We are a group of friends and acquaintances -- a merry band of pranksters indeed -- who have been arguing about politics on-and-off, then really on, then a little off... since 1998. On email. But that meant literally thousands of emails a year. That was too many. So here's the blog dedicated to carrying on that spirit of political and pop culture argument and dialogue. You might think of us as "schmoliticians", because while we take politics seriously, we try not to take ourselves quite so.

That may be the most unbelievably stupid thing I've seen in the last two and half minutes. Wow.
If he gets too elaborate in his descriptions, I wonder if we'll se a challenge to double jeopardy.
I didn't think DJ applied to murder cases, or is that just the statute of limitations? Attorney feedback on that one, please. Also, I'm a little disappointed in your puff piece, Pete. Big stories aren't going to fall in your lap, you know ;)

Double jeopardy applies to all criminal cases. I don't believe there are exceptions on its general application. (Todd, you're right that murder often - or maybe always - has no statute of limitations). I believe there are some DJ exceptions in terms of new developments, but as long as OJ keeps it all "hypothetical", he'll be legally OK. Morally is another matter entirely.
